About the role The Biofuels Senior Supply Coordinator is responsible for the flow assurance and commercial optimization of ethanol, biodiesel, and renewable diesel across bp’s US footprint. The biofuels markets and operational landscape are continually changing, making this an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven individual who enjoys solving complex problems, identifying new value-creation opportunities, and enhancing bp’s customer offer and market position. This role offers the opportunity to grow commercial skills and to learn how to lead successfully across multiple interfaces and commodities to achieve results. Key Responsibilities Leads a cross-functional team of traders, operators, pricing analysts, schedulers and logistics providers to supply bp’s customers with biofuels in the most cost-effective manner while maintaining best in class supply reliability. Develop and deliver the short-term supply plan (0-3 months) for bp’s US biofuels shorts. Meet the supply reliability, quality, and inventory targets set by the business, working closely with the operations team to develop a feasible supply plan, drive performance, and intervene if needed. Work closely with traders to optimize bp value (regardless of where it sits in the financials) and coordinate and align priorities across the ST&S and Downstream organizations, ensuring a successful balance between commercial value, customer experience, and bp reputation. Identify and implement entrepreneurial biofuels blending opportunities in line with changing economic and regulatory landscapes. Lead the forecasting process and financial management of Whiting Refinery RVO obligation and East of Rockies RINs generation activity. Provide commercial support and thought leadership to mid- and long-term plans for the US biofuels landscape. Essential education, experience and requirements Demonstrated commercial decision-making and analytical skills, preferably in extracting value from sophisticated supply chains. Ability and confidence to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to assimilate and react to large amounts of diverse information quickly and the confidence to make a risk-based decision without all of the data. Strong tactical and strategic thinking skills. Understanding of, or ability to learn quickly, bp and industry product flows in the footprint and regional supply/demand balances. Prior experience in Refining, Midstream/Supply, Operations, or a similar role is preferred. Understanding of, or ability to learn quickly, bio and low carbon markets and regulatory environments and how to monetize opportunities within them. Proven ability to build networks and work with diverse teams with varying objectives. Proven ability to lead and influence without authority. Creative mindset and ability to develop business opportunities in varied market conditions. How much do we pay (Base)? 170,000 - 200,000 USD Annually Note that the pay range listed for this position is a genuinely expected and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting. This position is eligible for US Benefits - Core. This position offers paid vacation depending on your years of relevant industry experience and will range from 120 – 240 hours of vacation per year for full time employees. You will also be eligible for 9 paid holidays per year and 2 personal choice holidays.
