In this influential global role, you'll lead the design and evolution of enterprise data platforms, architecture frameworks and integration strategies that support business growth across multiple regions. Working at the intersection of technology, analytics and AI, you will turn complex business challenges into scalable, secure and intelligent data solutions that create lasting value across the organisation. Role Overview: This role is responsible for defining, governing and delivering the organisation's global data architecture and solution landscape. As the trusted expert for data architecture, you will provide end-to-end ownership of data platform design, integration frameworks and solution architecture, ensuring alignment with business strategy and technology objectives. You'll work closely with business leaders, technical teams and global stakeholders to build modern data ecosystems that support advanced analytics, AI initiatives and digital transformation programs. This role combines expertise across enterprise architecture, cloud technologies, data engineering, governance and AI enablement, making it a unique opportunity to drive strategic outcomes on a global scale. Key Responsibilities Include: Define and maintain enterprise data architecture frameworks, standards and reference models that support global business objectives. Lead the design of scalable, resilient and high-performing data platforms capable of supporting batch, real-time and streaming workloads. Develop modern data architectures, integration patterns and solution blueprints that promote consistency, reusability and operational excellence. Contribute to the organisation's global Data and AI strategy, ensuring platforms are prepared to support current and future AI capabilities. Establish and govern enterprise data models across conceptual, logical and physical layers. Oversee integration architectures across key enterprise platforms including Microsoft Dataverse, Azure SQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Microsoft 365 and external systems. Drive best practice DataOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code approaches to support efficient delivery and operational performance. Establish robust governance, security and compliance frameworks, ensuring adherence to regional and global regulatory requirements. Partner with business and technology leaders to translate strategic goals and requirements into practical architecture roadmaps and solution designs. Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, governance forums, technology evaluations and strategic investment recommendations. Identify emerging technologies and innovative opportunities to enhance data maturity, analytics capability and business outcomes. Skills & Experience Required: Extensive experience in Data Architecture, Solution Architecture, Data Engineering or Enterprise Data Platform roles. Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale cloud-based data platforms, ideally within Azure environments. Deep expertise in enterprise data architecture, distributed data systems and modern integration approaches. Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT frameworks, data ingestion and large-scale data processing. Experience designing solutions that support advanced analytics, machine learning and AI-driven initiatives. Knowledge of event-driven architectures, microservices and API-led integration patterns. Demonstrated capability in cloud governance, security architecture, data privacy and compliance frameworks. Experience implementing DataOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment frameworks. Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate business requirements into enterprise architecture solutions. Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders across global and matrixed organisations. Experience building enterprise-wide architecture roadmaps and driving technology transformation initiatives.
