Junior HV Substation Designer (12-Month Contract) Location: Monnoyer Contract Type: 12-Month Contract Freelance Role Overview We are seeking a proactive and solutions-focused Junior HV Substation Designer to support the design and delivery of high-voltage substation projects. Working closely with Project Engineers, Project Leaders, and fellow designers, you will contribute to the development of technical studies, detailed design documentation, and implementation plans required for the successful execution of projects. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong technical foundation who is eager to develop their expertise in substation design while working within a collaborative project environment. Skills & Experience Essential Qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent). Basic understanding of HV electrical systems and substation environments. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proactive approach with the ability to work independently. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering design software. Desirable Experience in high-voltage substation, utility, transmission, or distribution network projects. Familiarity with AutoCAD or equivalent design software. Knowledge of electrical infrastructure design standards and engineering best practices. Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external design consultants.
