Senior Coiled Tubing Electronic Technician

As a Senior Coiled Tubing Electronic Technician, you will play a vital role performing hands-on work as part of the Coil Tubing Service Team; from overseeing work at a field site to providing quality service to the customer. Job Title: Senior Coiled Tubing Electronic Technician Location: Western Australia Contract status: Contractor Rotation: ADHOC Experience required: Proof of an Electronics Engineering Diploma, and/ or Advance Diploma. An Electrical license would be looked upon positively. Minimum 5 years’ experience as Electronic Technician Solid hands on electronics background essential Ability understand engineering drawings and read electrical schematics and drawings Highly self-motivated Competent computer skills Strong abilities in CMMS (Computer based Maintenance Management System) Can work in a high-pressure environment, learn quickly and adapts to new problems and situations Good English written and verbal communication skills essential Good interpersonal skills Must be a team player, able to get along with individuals from other groups in the organization Roles and Responsibilities: Performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of electronic systems and instrumentation for coiled tubing and fracturing equipment, including control panels, sensors, data acquisition systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Troubleshooting electrical and electronic faults in coiled tubing units, frac pumps, blending units, monitoring systems, and communication links, both in the yard and at remote well sites. Calibrating electronic sensors and instrumentation for accurate measurement of operating parameters such as pressure, temperature, depth, flow, and chemical injection rates. Assisting with the installation, testing, and commissioning of new or upgraded electronic components on CT units, frac pumps, and ancillary equipment, ensuring all systems are properly integrated and functional. Conducting pre- and post-job inspections of electronic systems; documenting all maintenance, tests, and repairs accurately in compliance records and job logs. Maintaining an inventory of spare parts and electronic components, requesting replacements as needed, and ensuring all equipment is kept in good working order. Supporting field crews in resolving electronic and instrumentation issues during rig-up, rig-down, and live operations, providing hands-on troubleshooting as required. Ensuring all work meets company policies and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards, using proper lock-out/tag-out, PPE, and hazardous energy control procedures. Participating in technical and safety training, keeping knowledge current with industry advancements and new equipment models. Communicating effectively with supervisors, engineers, and operations crews to deliver optimal system reliability and uptime, and to report safety hazards or recurring technical issues.
