Project Engineer

In this role, you'll be part of a Mine Progression team responsible for managing front-end mining and bulk civil projects from planning through execution. Key responsibilities include: Managing mining and bulk civil capital projects Supporting bid development, contractor evaluation, and award processes Coordinating project execution and stakeholder interfaces Working with operations, planners, contractors, and project teams Supporting project development, FEED activities, and project delivery Managing multiple projects while ensuring alignment with project objectives and standards Location: Based in the Calgary area Monthly travel to a northern Alberta mine site (typically 2-7 days per month, depending on project activity) Flexible schedule with the ability to manage your own workload and travel requirements What we're looking for: 10+ years of Project Engineering or Project Management experience Civil engineering and/or heavy civil construction background Oil sands, mining, or project operations experience Experience leading projects through planning, tendering, contractor management, and execution Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and Manufacturing sectors worldwide.
