Cairo, Egypt Job Family Group: Downstream Supply Chain Worker Type: Regular (FTC) (Fixed Term) Posting Start Date: August 6, 2026 Business Unit: Downstream and Renewables Experience Level: Experienced Professionals Job Description: Purpose: This role is allocated and based at 6th October site, supports the Implementation Manager/Project Manager and deliver Top Quartile of the assigned project block(s). Manage assigned project(s) between conceptual design, through detailed engineering, construction and commissioning. Adhere to Shell HSSE standards, and deliver within budget, schedule and quality requirements. Team player to manage delivery via contractors, considering safety, cost, time schedule and project quality. Accountabilities: HSSE Leadership visibility to achieve Goal Zero, timing, budget and quality standards. Report / Intervene any unsafe behavior or unsafe operating condition observed while working in the plant/construction site(s). Act as contract holder (where applicable) and accountable for the safe and top quartile delivery. Emphasize interface management, interface controls, and ongoing follow-up. Promote a cooperative attitude and foster a close working relationship between the employees and the contractor's team to ensure proper control, maintaining the responsibilities and liabilities outlined in the contract. Accountable for project controls, ensuring the Implementation Manager is regularly updated on work progress, identifying significant deviations from plans, and offering proposals for corrective actions. Engage in applying Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies and tools to enhance business performance Dimensions: Be directly accountable for a particular segment of the assigned project scope, with sole financial responsibility for a single project of base complexity. Special Challenges: For the site, there will be a strong emphasis on improving the maintenance practices and programs to move towards a culture that relies on predictive and preventative maintenance programs. The successful candidate will be expected to develop new approaches to improve reliability, reduce waste and implement LEAN techniques. The successful candidate will need to develop new approaches, new partnerships and work well with others inside and outside the maintenance team. This position will require both office and field work to develop the jobs and review them in the field. Skills & Experience: Education Requirement/Field of Study: Mechanical or Electrical Engineer’s Degree. 2-5 years’ experience. Supervisory experience is considered a strong advantage.
