Senior Mine Engineer

Design and optimise open pit mining operations, including pit geometry, extraction sequencing and mine layouts Develop and implement mine plans that maximise resource recovery while maintaining safety and environmental standards Support geotechnical risk management and slope stability strategies across active mining areas Lead mine engineering projects from concept through to completion, including technical scope, budgets, timelines and delivery Collaborate with geology, production, maintenance and other technical teams to achieve operational targets Monitor mining productivity and performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement Ensure mining activities comply with relevant Australian legislation, safety requirements, environmental standards and company policies Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to the development of the wider technical team Conduct engineering reviews and audits to identify operational risks and opportunities to improve performance Contribute to feasibility studies, optimisation work and strategic planning for future mining operations and capital investments
