It Infrastructure Engineer

IT Specialist / IT Administrator The Opportunity For an international organisation setting up a new operation in Amsterdam, we are looking for a hands-on IT Specialist / IT Administrator . You will join during the setup phase and help build the local IT environment from the ground up. Once operational, you will become the main local IT contact for a small permanent team and its users, covering networking, Microsoft 365, licensing, hardware and day-to-day IT support. The role will initially focus on Amsterdam, with potential to develop into a broader group-level IT position supporting IT processes and standards across several international entities. Job Responsibilities Help set up and maintain the local IT infrastructure and network environment. Manage Microsoft 365, user accounts, licences and access. Set up and support laptops, hardware, Windows and iOS devices. Provide hands-on first-line IT support and troubleshooting. Resolve network, hardware, software and user-related issues. Coordinate with second-line/external IT support when required. Work alongside technical specialists where IT and specialised systems overlap. Support improvements to the IT environment as the operation develops. Potentially contribute to wider group IT processes and standards over time. Requirements Relevant IT qualification and several years of hands-on IT experience. Background as an IT Administrator, IT Support Engineer, System Administrator or IT Allrounder. Good knowledge of networking and general IT infrastructure. Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and licensing. Experience with hardware, Windows and iOS support. Strong troubleshooting and first-line support skills. Able to work independently and take ownership of a broad local IT environment. Experience or interest in aviation or another technical/operational environment is advantageous. Already based in the Netherlands with an existing right to work in the Netherlands.
