Scope or work:
Provide overall leadership and direction for engineering and technical teams.
Establish and maintain technical standards, policies, and best practices across the organization.
Serve as the highest technical authority for engineering decisions and project-related technical matters.
Review and approve major technical proposals, engineering solutions, and design strategies.
Oversee the technical delivery of projects from tender stage through execution and completion.
Ensure engineering solutions are practical, cost-effective, and aligned with project requirements.
Monitor engineering quality, technical performance, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Support project teams in resolving complex technical challenges.
Partner with commercial and business development teams during bidding and project acquisition activities.
Provide technical input for proposals, risk assessments, and client presentations.
Contribute to value engineering initiatives to improve project competitiveness and profitability.
Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary technical teams.
Build organizational capability through training, coaching, and succession planning.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate closely with project management, operations, procurement, production, quality, and site teams.
Ensure effective communication and coordination between departments throughout project delivery.
Support process optimization and operational efficiency initiatives.
Drive technical excellence and engineering quality across all projects.
Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing within the organization.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Master's degree is an advantage.
Experience
Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering, technical management, construction, manufacturing, or related industries.
Proven experience managing large-scale and complex projects.
Demonstrated success in leading engineering or technical teams within a project-based environment.
Experience working with contractors, consultants, developers, or manufacturing organizations is preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of engineering design, project execution, and construction/manufacturing processes.
Solid understanding of industry standards, quality requirements, and regulatory compliance.
Ability to evaluate technical risks and develop practical solutions.
Experience with modern engineering technologies and digital tools is beneficial.
Strong strategic thinking and decision-making capability.
Excellent leadership, people management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
