Fuel your passion The Manufacturing Specialist – Production Planning & Scheduling is responsible for supporting demand planning, order management, inventory optimization, and material planning activities to ensure efficient manufacturing execution and supply chain performance. In this role, you will work closely with commercial teams, manufacturing sites, procurement, operations, and service delivery functions to align forecasted demand with operational capabilities. Your ability to analyze demand patterns, optimize inventory strategies, coordinate material availability, and support planning processes will directly contribute to operational excellence and business performance. As a Manufacturing Specialist – Production Planning & Scheduling, you will be responsible for: Collaborating with Sales and Operations teams to develop regional and global demand forecasts across short, medium, and long-term planning horizons. Converting demand plans into executable orders while identifying business trends, planning risks, and growth opportunities. Supporting the execution and continuous improvement of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. Analyzing incoming demand signals and identifying order exceptions, forecast variances, inventory utilization opportunities, and supply constraints. Planning and scheduling material requirements and production timelines to meet customer expectations while optimizing inventory and logistics costs. Coordinating with Product Line, Operations, Manufacturing, and Service Delivery teams to manage changes in customer demand, delivery priorities, and schedule adjustments. Performing inventory and material management analyses including consumption trends, forecast accuracy, aged inventory, open purchase orders, in-transit materials, and safety stock requirements. Supporting the implementation and optimization of inventory stocking strategies across the supply chain. Monitoring safety stock levels, excess inventory, and aging inventory while driving corrective actions with manufacturing sites and regional teams. Collaborating with operations and asset management teams to ensure spare parts, repaired assets, and equipment demand are appropriately captured within planning processes. Supporting new product introductions and product lifecycle management activities to ensure proper planning and inventory readiness. Driving alignment between make-to-stock, make-to-order, configure-to-order, and engineer-to-order planning strategies. Identifying opportunities for process improvements, operational efficiencies, and planning accuracy enhancements. Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, operational standards, and supply chain governance requirements. To be successful in this role, you will: Have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field. Have advanced English proficiency (B2/C1 or equivalent) to effectively participate in meetings, presentations, and written communications with global stakeholders. Have advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, data analysis, reporting, and inventory planning tools. Have 5+ years of experience in production planning, materials management, inventory control, demand planning, supply chain operations, or related areas. Demonstrate experience in order management, inventory optimization, asset utilization, and material planning processes. Possess intermediate knowledge of SAP, MRP functionality, and supply chain planning systems. Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational and inventory data. Be able to influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively across multiple functions and organizational levels.
