Location: Cold Lake, Alberta (site-based, with potential travel to other project locations) Schedule: Night Shift | 14 Days On / 14 Days Off Rotation Contract Length: 12 Months About the Role We are seeking an experienced Safety Advisor III to support construction and operational project teams by promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with safety, health, security, and environmental requirements. This position plays a key role in advising site leadership, supporting contractors, and driving continuous improvement in safety performance. Key Responsibilities Provide safety leadership and guidance to project and site teams. Develop, review, and maintain safety standards, procedures, and documented practices. Review project designs and facility modifications for compliance with applicable safety regulations and industry standards. Conduct safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations, recommending corrective actions where required. Support emergency response activities and provide technical safety expertise during incidents. Monitor and report safety performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement. Deliver safety training, presentations, and awareness programs. Foster strong working relationships with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders. Mentor and support less experienced safety professionals. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field. Significant experience in construction safety, industrial projects, or heavy industry environments. Previous experience supporting large-scale construction or engineering projects. Strong knowledge of safety management systems, risk assessment, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working in remote field environments and varying weather conditions. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of a construction site environment. Additional Information Site-based role with potential travel between project locations. Rotational schedule with night shifts. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada and willing to work in remote or camp-based environments as required.
