About the Role This is a position that’s based in the Perth CBD, Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week on a 12-months’ contract for an oil and gas operator. As an Estimator within the Capital Projects team, you will support a portfolio of projects by developing and managing cost estimates across multiple scopes of work at varying stages of maturity. You will be responsible for delivering efficient, consistent, and high-quality estimating outcomes while driving the use of standardized processes, systems, and tools to support effective project planning and decision-making Responsibilities: Cost estimate development for all project phases and classes of estimates. Basis of Estimate (BoE) development. Estimate planning. Integrated Cost and Schedule Assurance (ICSA) reviews and engagements. Cost and schedule risk assessments including risk analysis and contingency setting. Cost risk model development. Coordination of contractor and owners cost estimates. Contract cost evaluations. Cost change analysis and trending. Estimate change log management and incorporation of risks, vulnerabilities and opportunities (RVOs). Project cost benchmarking. Business Planning (BP). JVP Work Program and Budget (WP&B). Skills/Requirements Strong knowledge of the oil and gas industry, including upstream, subsea, onshore, offshore, and downstream projects. Proven expertise in cost estimating, cost analysis, and risk-based estimating. Understanding of project planning and the relationship between schedule and cost. Experience supporting major capital projects, ideally in the oil and gas sector. Knowledge of project management processes, tools, and portfolio-based project delivery. Experience working on large-scale projects (USD $1B-$10B) is highly regarded. Demonstrated ability to deliver results and meet project objectives in complex environments.
