Job Purpose
This position provides project scheduling support for High Bay operations within Subsea Services North America (NAM) organization.
The successful candidate will be detail oriented, while maintaining a high level understanding of shop operations workflow from a top level. Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and communication skills are essential, as the role requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders in projects, engineering, shop leadership and planners to gather information to support scheduling activities. This position will work very closely with High Bay planning, line and building managers to schedule and plan work through the facility including subsea equipment and tooling mobilizations and demobilizations, refurbishments, and EMS new build production.
The role also includes analytical reporting to track backlog and forecast scheduling activities which will feed into shop capacity planning requirements.
Job Description
Audit all orders submitted to High Bay for zero defects and clear requirements.
Coordinate with cross functional and cross-company stakeholders to identify potential scheduling conflicts early and implement effective solutions within schedules and processes.
Dispatch reviewed orders to work centers within High Bay to meet on-time delivery of customer commitments.
Serve as a key communication link between key support functions within the department to ensure alignment on priorities and execution plans.
Foster collaboration and interaction across diverse internal stakeholders, and as needed, external customers and partners.
Influence and engage stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization without direct supervisory responsibility, including potential client interactions.
Support the development and review of Contract requirements for Baseline Schedule and assist in establishing criteria for schedule development (schedule detail, work breakdown structure (WBS) and others).
Assist in the development and update of both summary level and detailed schedules.
Collaborate with the project team to identify major milestones, critical approvals and long lead items.
Determine reasonable schedule logic and constraints based on discussion with task owners and/or teams.
Analyze critical and near critical path activity sequences
Assesses or validate actual work progress against schedules and project milestones.
Monitors schedule changes and trends to provide analysis and recommendations to stakeholders.
Develop and recommend corrective actions and/or recovery plans to minimize impact when potential delays are identified or occur.
Implement project controls on the project schedule.
Incorporate updates in the project schedule based on input from the organization.
Reviews all contractual documentation regarding project planning and project control to ensure compliance and alignment with customer expectations.
Partner with shop management and manufacturing engineering to establish capacity profiles in SAP.
Ensures work centers are effectively level loaded based off capacity profiles.
You are meant for this job if:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Procurement, Operations or related field or equivalent years relevant job experience. A strong technical background is required.
Minimum 2 years scheduling experience preferred..
Minimum 4 years in Subsea Oil and Gas industry preferred.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate & organize multiple sources of schedule inputs/performance data into a master schedule platform and deliver project/program status reports.
Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross functional team environment while maintaining clear, professional, and effective communication.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Comfortable developing and updating schedules in real time during meetings with schedule projected for team engagement.
Strong analytical, problem‐solving and communication skills (Verbal, written and presentation).
Must have strong computer skills, including strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Must have a strategic understanding of Project Planning and MRP.
Strong knowledge of Lean thinking and manufacturing practices including problem solving and industrialization.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to develop effective working relationships and communicate across functional, operational, and managerial boundaries.
Experience with Primavera preferred.
