We are currently recruiting on behalf of an established construction client for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the successful delivery of a multi-million pound new build high school, working closely with the commercial, design and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards. As the Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in the overall management and delivery of the project, providing leadership to the project team and working closely with the Project Quantity Surveyor to ensure strong commercial and operational performance. Key responsibilities will include: Working closely with the Project Quantity Surveyor to provide input into the financial reporting and forecasting of the project. Developing and managing the project’s main programme and ensuring progress is maintained against agreed targets. Ensuring all relevant health and safety requirements, including the Construction Phase Plan, are in place before works commence. Preparing and reviewing Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Safety Plans in accordance with CDM Regulations. Providing leadership, direction and support to employees throughout the project. Managing labour requirements and ensuring productivity is maintained. Coordinating the release of design information and ensuring materials are procured and available when required. Ensuring compliance with the company’s quality procedures and standards. Managing subcontractors and the wider supply chain to ensure works are delivered effectively. Monitoring the quality of works throughout the project and ensuring a high standard of workmanship is maintained. Overseeing the successful completion and handover of the project, with a strong focus on achieving a snag-free finish. About You: You will have proven experience in a senior project management role within the construction industry, with a strong track record of managing projects from inception through to completion. A degree or relevant qualification in a built environment discipline is preferred, although candidates with strong trade experience and a proven project management background will also be considered. You will have a strong understanding of health and safety, quality standards and construction best practice, with experience managing project teams, subcontractors and the supply chain. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential. You will be confident dealing with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders, with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and effectively at all levels.
