Partnering with the best As a Manufacturing Specialist you are managing the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of inventory reclaim activities to maximize asset recovery and improve inventory utilization. You are working closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Production Planning, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and external reclaim vendors to reduce obsolete inventory, improve recovery rates, and deliver measurable financial benefits. You are leveraging data analytics, SAP, and cross-functional collaboration to drive inventory optimization and continuous improvement initiatives. As a Manufacturing Specialist, you are responsible for: Planning and Scheduling Developing and maintaining reclaim plans and schedules aligned with operational priorities and business objectives. Reviewing available inventory and identifying reclaim opportunities based on inventory age, condition, demand, reuse potential, and financial impact. Prioritizing reclaims activities to ensure efficient resource utilization and timely material disposition. Coordinating movement of reclaim inventory between manufacturing facilities, warehouses, service centers, suppliers, and reclaim vendors. Monitoring reclaims workload, workflow, and capacity to ensure activities are completed on time. Inventory Management Analyzing inventory data to identify excess, obsolete, slow-moving, non-conforming, and recoverable materials. Managing reclaim inventory transactions and material disposition activities within SAP and related systems. Ensuring inventory records remain accurate through audits, transaction validation, and reconciliation activities. Supporting inventory accuracy initiatives, cycle counts, and aged inventory reduction programs. Developing action plans to reduce inventory exposure, improve inventory turns, and support working capital objectives. Asset Recovery and Financial Performance Maximizing recovery value through refurbishment, repair, reuse, recycling, and salvage opportunities. Tracking and reporting financial benefits including cost avoidance, recovery value, inventory reduction, and scrap reduction. Identifying trends and opportunities to improve reclaim efficiency, recovery rates, and overall financial performance. Partnering with Finance teams to validate savings, recovery benefits, and reclaim-related business impact. Cross-Functional Collaboration Working closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Quality, Sourcing, Finance, and Operations teams to align reclaim priorities. Supporting disposition review meetings and providing recommendations for excess, obsolete, returned, and non-conforming inventory. Coordinating reclaims activities with third-party vendors, repair suppliers, recycling partners, and service providers. Communicating reclaim status, risks, constraints, and opportunities to stakeholders and leadership teams. Assisting in resolving inventory, disposition, material availability, and vendor-related issues. Data Analysis and Reporting Generating and maintaining weekly, monthly, and quarterly reclaim reports, dashboards, and KPI metrics. Analyzing reclaim performance trends and identifying opportunities for process improvement. Developing reporting tools and performance metrics that improve visibility, accountability, and decision-making. Presenting reclaim performance results, recovery values, inventory reduction achievements, and risks to leadership teams. Maintaining accurate documentation supporting reclaim transactions, audits, and financial reporting requirements. Process Improvement Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities within reclaim and inventory management processes. Driving initiatives to reduce reclaim cycle times, improve material flow, and increase recovery rates. Participating in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence projects. Supporting standardization of reclaim procedures, work instructions, reporting methods, and best practices. Developing and maintaining process documentation and training materials related to reclaim activities.
