We are seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to support large-scale Oil & Gas construction projects. This role is responsible for providing advanced safety leadership, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards, and promoting a strong safety culture across project operations. The successful candidate will act as a key advisor to site leadership and EPC contractors, helping drive excellence in Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) performance. Key Responsibilities Provide safety and health support to project leadership teams and EPC contractor personnel. Develop, implement, and maintain safety standards, procedures, and documented best practices. Review new project designs and facility upgrades to ensure compliance with company and industry safety requirements. Conduct safety assessments, audits, inspections, and risk evaluations. Investigate incidents and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Respond to emergency situations, providing technical guidance and safety expertise as needed. Promote safety awareness through training programs, presentations, and educational initiatives. Develop safety communication materials and contribute to company safety campaigns. Monitor safety metrics and provide recommendations for continuous improvement. Mentor and support junior safety professionals. Build and maintain effective working relationships with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field preferred. ASP (Associate Safety Professional) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certification preferred. Proven experience in construction safety roles within the Upstream Oil & Gas industry. Demonstrated track record of successful safety performance on complex projects. Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices. Experience working with EPC contractors and construction field environments. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience working within multicultural and multilingual project environments. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Must be able to work in active construction environments. Ability to walk on uneven terrain, climb stairs and ladders, stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and perform other physical activities as required. Comfortable working in remote locations and challenging weather conditions, including temperature and humidity extremes. Willingness to travel and remain away from home for extended periods as project needs require.
