Job Summary ConocoPhillips holds approximately 792,000 unconventional net acres in the Delaware Basin, spanning west Texas through southeast New Mexico. Current development activity targets prospects in the Avalon, Bone Springs and Wolfcamp formations while balancing leasehold obligations and permit terms. We operated ten rigs and two frac crews on average during 2024, resulting in 166 operated wells drilled and 151 operated wells brought online. The company began exploring and appraising the basin’s stacked pay potential in 2012 and has gained extensive technical expertise to optimize development. At the beginning of 2024, the company operated over 2,800 producing wells throughout the Basin. In 2024, net production averaged 593 MBOED. Position Overview At ConocoPhillips, our Lease Operators—known internally as Multi-Skill Operators (MSOs)—play a vital role in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable oil and gas production across our assets. We are hiring for the Artesia and Hobbs, NM areas. Your responsibilities may include: Perform daily field operations across assigned wells and facilities in Southeast New Mexico, monitoring equipment and production performance to ensure safe, reliable flow and timely response to operational needs Inspect tanks, meters, separators, compressors, and pipelines to identify and prevent leaks or operational issues Gauge tanks to measure crude oil and water levels for safe and efficient transfers Operate and troubleshoot compressors, gas lift wells, sand traps, and flowback equipment Maintain chemical injection rates and execute well start-up/shut-in procedures Enter and validate production data in digital systems to support accurate reporting and decision-making Participate in facility walk-throughs, safety reviews, and regulatory documentation Update piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs) and site security documentation Respond to alarms and fulfill on-call duties to minimize downtime and resolve field issues Apply all safety, environmental, and company policies to protect personnel, assets, and the environment Success Profile Takes Accountability: Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by courageously dealing with important problems, holding others accountable, and standing up for what is right Drives Performance: Delivers results through realistic planning to accomplish goals Makes Decisions: Generates effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical Qualifications Basic Requirements Legally authorized to work in the United States Current/valid driver’s license 1 or more years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, equipment operation, or inspection Able to perform the physical demands and work environment requirements of the position, as described in the job description, with or without reasonable accommodation Preferred Requirements 1 or more years’ experience in oil and gas production or health, safety, and environmental (HSE) roles Associate’s degree or trade certific
