Engineer, Mechanical, Product Design and Engineering Are you willing to contribute to the global energy transition? Are you passionate about problem solving? SHAPE THE ENERGY TRANSITION PRODUCTS As an engineer, mechanical, product design and engineering you'll actively participate to the whole process of product definition, from conceptual design to development and testing phase of new rotating equipment for energy transition and consolidated portfolio applications (Centrifugal and axial compressor, turboexpanders, reciprocating compressors, innovative rotating equipment, covering the machine and plant integration). In a stimulating environment such as that of the “energy transition” a further challenge will be to adapt to evolving market requirements leveraging adjacent markets solutions and performing research and testing on concepts identified. The main work areas will be related to simulating fluid flows in turbomachines, with further exploration with heat transfer analyses. Multiphase flows, interaction between aerodynamics and structures will be also a matter of analysis. The scope can expand to include thermodynamic calculations, system level design and other allied analysis such as rotor-dynamics. As an Engineer, Mechanical, Product Design and Engineering you will be responsible for: Design and Analysis: Conducting computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and thermal analysis to design and optimize components of Turbomachines and allied systems for efficiency and performance. Simulation and Testing: Performing simulations to predict the behaviour of thermal systems and validating these simulations through experimental testing. Project Management: Managing projects from conception through to completion, including timeline, resource allocation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Research and Development: Engaging in R&D to innovate new solutions for energy systems, including improvements in heat transfer, fluid flow, and overall thermal management. Documentation and Reporting: Creating detailed technical reports, documentation, and presenting findings to stakeholders. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: Have an open mindset ready to learn and apply new concepts. Be a graduate (master’s degree preferred) in Mechanical, Aerospace, Energy Engineering, with a basic knowledge of a rotating equipment design, able to manage technical documentation, international standards and codes. Have minimum 2 years of relevant experience (CFD, Turbomachinery) Understand CFD, aerodynamics, Conjugate heat transfer, Thermodynamics and allied physics such as aeroacoustics, FSI etc. Have good working knowledge of Ansys Fluent, CFX, Open FOAM, Comsol, NUMECA Fine Turbo etc. Understand thermodynamic principles applied to turbomachinery performances. Demonstrate good computer skills and be familiar with cad modelling, programming (Python, VB). Work in team with experienced people learning proactively and giving active contribution to the design and decision-making process. Have an open approach to problem solving, expanding the current theory, methods, and tools knowledge to fill the gaps. Be adaptable to assimilate new information, different or unexpected circumstances in a fast-changing environment Have good verbal and written skills Work in a way that works for you We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
