We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source for Hook-Up and Commissioning Lead (ICSS) specialising in offshore compression. This is a long-term contract role working offshore with rotation cycle of 28 days ON / 28 days OFF. Please see details below: Title: Hook-Up and Commissioning Lead (ICSS) Start Date: Negotiable (typically within 1 month notice) Duration: 36 months (potential for extension) Location: Offshore, Qatar Working Schedule: 28 days ON / 28 Days OFF Job Purpose: The Hook-Up and Commissioning Lead (ICSS) shall provide oversight and direction to the project’s main contractor, sub-contractors and vendors, during the offshore hook-up and commissioning stages. Effectively collaborates and interfaces with the HUC team, facilities team, EPC contractor and operations personnel. Providing technical guidance and expertise on ICSS principles, codes, standards and coverage for EPC workshops, inspections and site testing. Support the change management process for HUC execution strategies. Supervise the review and approval of contractor procedures, ensuring accurate documentation of redlines throughout construction, hook-up, precommissioning, and commissioning phases. Validate the optimization of project delivery, ensuring readiness for asset handover to the OESS team. Key Accountabilities: Reports to Head of Construction (CP6S Hook-Up). Support EPC PMT by reviewing critical documents and reports generated by the main subcontractor. Attend workshops / review meetings when requested. Analyse technical proposals and proposed deviations, assess exceptions and new technologies to ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures. Apply lessons learned from previous projects and share new ones with other EPCs. Support the qualification of new suppliers proposed for the project, suppliers that are not on the approved vendor’s list. Assesses Contractor’s manpower loading, providing timely recommendations to project teamand be available to backfill needs as required. Support the project team to stay on schedule to meet all critical milestones (long lead item (LLI) procurement, engineered equipment procurement; required on site (ROS) dates, etc); develops and stewards recovery plans to address any schedule delays. Witnesses Contractors scope of work and sign off test and check sheets as per project requirements. Verify that the EPC Contractor’s reports are accurate with regards to progress reporting. Cooperate with review teams and take part in quality audit activities throughout the project. Report findings accurately and provide a plan to address issues when required. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Sciences or Engineering. Knowledge and/or Experience 12 years experience with large-project commissioning in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 3 years of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel. Knowledge and experience in discipline Hook-Up and Commissioning delivery processes and associated project phases, familiar with completions walkdowns and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews. Experience in an Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) role for large EPC contracts, with strong Integrated Control and Safety Systems commissioning/technical skills. Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up, as applicable to the project scope. Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies. Expert in reading P&IDs, Datasheets, General Arrangement drawings and procedures. Knowledge in projects execution, engineering, operations, precommissioning, commissioning and systems completion. Knowledge in compliance with contract requirements including codes and standards, and contract technical specification compliance. Experience with vendors operating in the LNG industry, such as compressors, power generation, control systems, topsides, etc. Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc. Experience in start-up support to Operation. Technical and Business Skills : Strong organizational, leadership, coordination, planning, interface and technical judgment skills. Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities. Able to identify and analyse complex issues and provide recommendations.
