Senior Process Engineer

Job Title: Senior Process Engineer Location: Chengdu, China This opportunity sits within a major onshore oil and gas development involving detailed engineering for a Central Process Facility, multiphase pipeline interfaces, and contractor coordination across an international project environment. The role offers strong technical scope across process engineering, flow assurance, design review, and engineering support through execution. This position will play an important part in ensuring fit-for-purpose design, safe operability, and effective delivery against project standards and Basis of Design. Required Education: Engineer or Master of Science qualification. Required Experience: 10+ years of experience in oil and gas projects. 5+ years in a similar or equivalent position with managerial responsibilities. Strong experience in process detailed engineering within complex industrial project environments. Experience supporting engineering interfaces, contractor management, technical reviews, risk identification, and scope change assessment. Strong experience in flow assurance, including multiphasic pipeline dynamic studies. Required Skills: Advanced process engineering capability, including review and technical approval of detailed engineering deliverables. Strong flow assurance expertise. Experience with process regulations and project specifications. Ability to lead discipline meetings with contractors, vendors, licensors, and third-party reviewers. Experience contributing to HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, CHAZOP, constructability reviews, and other technical studies. Ability to identify technical risks, deviations, derogations, and scope changes, and provide structured recommendations. Knowledge of operations and maintenance considerations in design development. Contractor management and coordination capability. Experience managing external process studies. English language proficiency is mandatory.
