Lead Rotating Engineer (Open to Expat only) Location: Chengdu, China (Engineering Phase), followed by Baku, Azerbaijan (Project Execution Phase) Function: Project Engineering & Management Industry: Oil & Gas Project: Onshore Facilities About the Role We are seeking an experienced Lead Rotating Engineer to lead all rotating equipment engineering activities for a major onshore oil & gas development project. This role will serve as the focal point for rotating equipment, overseeing engineering, procurement, contractor management, fabrication, construction support, and commissioning activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient project delivery. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all rotating equipment engineering activities for the Onshore Central Processing Facility (CPF). Ensure delivery of a complete and fit-for-purpose engineering package that meets project specifications, industry standards, safety requirements, and operational objectives. Review and challenge contractor designs to drive technical excellence, optimization, constructability, and value engineering opportunities. Oversee engineering deliverables related to rotating equipment, including compressors, packages, vendor documentation, and long lead items (LLIs). Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Construction, Operations, and Project teams. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Master's degree preferred. Minimum 15 years of experience in oil & gas projects. At least 10 years in a Lead Rotating Engineer or equivalent senior position with management responsibilities. Strong experience working within EPC/EPSCC project environments. Proven experience managing contractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams. Fluent English communication skills.
