Lead Piping Engineer

Lead Piping Engineer (Open to Expat) Location: Chengdu, China ? Baku, Azerbaijan Function: Project Engineering & Management Project: Onshore Facilities Role Summary The Lead Piping Engineer will be responsible for leading all piping engineering activities for a major onshore oil & gas development project. The role oversees piping design, plant layout, 3D modelling, contractor management, and multidisciplinary engineering interfaces to ensure safe, compliant, and fit-for-purpose project execution from detailed engineering through construction and commissioning. Key Responsibilities Lead piping engineering and design activities for the onshore facilities package. Manage plant layout development, piping routing, 3D model reviews, and stress analysis coordination. Review and approve key engineering deliverables including plot plans, piping layouts, isometrics, MTOs, support drawings, and tie-in lists. Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry codes, safety standards, and quality requirements. Coordinate interfaces with Process, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, Construction, and Operations teams. Requirements 10+ years' experience in a Lead Piping Engineer or equivalent leadership role. 10-15 years' experience within the oil & gas industry. Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related discipline. Fluent English communication skills. Piping Design & Detailed Engineering
