Position Overview
Orion Group is seeking a highly organized and personable
Clinical Operations Support II
professional to support a
Skincare Clinical Research and Innovation Center
in Irvine, CA.
This is a hands-on, onsite position combining
clinical research, administrative support, participant coordination, medical office responsibilities, inventory management, and data entry
. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and prior experience working in a clinical research, medical office, healthcare, or similar patient-facing environment.
This individual will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operation of clinical skincare studies and ensuring participants, study materials, treatment rooms, documentation, and supplies are prepared and organized.
Key Responsibilities
Participant & Clinical Study Support
Support participant check-in and check-out for clinical research visits.
Provide participants with required study forms and documentation for completion.
Schedule participant appointments and send appointment reminders.
Prepare patient charts, treatment rooms, study products, and supplies prior to scheduled visits.
Support participant compensation activities, including ordering compensation and providing eligible compensation upon study completion.
Maintain a professional and welcoming environment for study participants.
Administrative Support
Perform day-to-day administrative activities including scheduling, answering calls, responding to emails, and sending reminders.
Print, photocopy, scan, file, and organize clinical study documentation.
Support accurate and timely data entry activities.
Maintain organized electronic and physical study records.
Assist the clinical team with additional administrative and operational needs as required.
Clinical Environment & Inventory Support
Sanitize treatment rooms, instrumentation, and high-touch surfaces before and after participant visits and as needed.
Maintain skincare study product inventory and general clinical supplies.
Coordinate product and supply ordering, disposal, shipping, logging, tracking, and organization.
Assist with study product preparation.
Coordinate servicing and maintenance of clinical instrumentation as needed.
Ensure treatment rooms and clinical areas are organized and appropriately stocked.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred/required; an Associate's degree may be considered with relevant professional experience.
3–5 years of relevant experience
in clinical operations, clinical research support, medical office administration, healthcare, or a related environment.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with study participants and internal teams.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
Proficiency with
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in a
medical office, clinical research site, dermatology practice, skincare setting, or other patient-facing healthcare environment
.
Knowledge of the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or clinical research industry.
General knowledge of clinical research regulations and guidelines, including
GCP, ICH, and applicable CFR requirements
.
Experience supporting clinical documentation, patient scheduling, inventory management, or research data entry.
