Location: The Woodlands, TX Duration: 9-Week Internship Department: People & Organization Hours: Part-Time Reports To: North America P&O Sr. Manager This internship is being offered as part of a partnership with the Lone Star College LifePATH® Program and is intended to support a designated student participant in the program. The People & Organization Associate Intern will support the People & Organization team in a special 9-week records management project focused on digitizing, organizing, and maintaining employee personnel files. This position provides a student with hands-on exposure to Human Resources operations while developing professional skills in records management, data organization, confidentiality, and administrative support. The intern will work in a structured environment with clearly defined processes and expectations to help ensure employee records are accurately scanned, indexed, organized, and stored in accordance with company standards. Ideal Candidate Profile: A student who enjoys organizing information, working with structured processes, paying close attention to details, and taking pride in maintaining accurate records. This internship is well suited for individuals who are dependable, methodical, and interested in learning how Human Resources supports business operations. Key Responsibilities Scan, upload, and organize employee personnel records into electronic filing systems. Review documents for completeness and proper file naming conventions. Sort and categorize records according to established HR guidelines. Maintain accurate tracking logs and spreadsheets related to file organization activities. Assist with data verification and quality checks to ensure records are correctly filed. Identify missing, duplicate, or incomplete documents and report findings to the HR team. Support document retention and archiving efforts. Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information. Assist with additional administrative projects as assigned. Qualifications Required Currently enrolled in the LifePATH program through Lone Star College. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow established procedures and work independently with guidance. Professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality. Preferred Interest in Human Resources, Business Administration, Office Administration, or related fields. Previous experience with filing, administrative tasks, data entry, or records management. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to organize large volumes of information in a consistent manner. Ability to complete repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy. Comfortable working with digital documents and electronic filing systems. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to ask questions and seek clarification when needed. Dependable and accountable for assigned work.
