HSE Advisor

Wood is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to support our Consulting business unit, managing a diverse portfolio of projects across the UK region. Based in our Glasgow office, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with employees expected to attend the office three days per week. The successful candidate will also be expected to travel to client sites, project locations, and other company offices as required. #LI-Hybrid The Role As an HSE Advisor, you will provide expert advice and guidance on all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental performance, ensuring compliance with legislation, company policies, management systems and client requirements. Working closely with managers, clients and project teams, you will support the delivery of a positive safety culture, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and help identify, prevent and mitigate business risks. You will play a key role in monitoring HSE performance, leading incident investigations, analysing trends, developing improvement plans and KPIs, and promoting the sharing of lessons learned across projects. The role also involves conducting site visits, supporting audits and inspections, delivering inductions and training, coordinating emergency preparedness activities, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the highest standards of HSE performance are maintained.
