Location Update:
Construction Leads are 100% in the field and will be within 3 hours of Midland TX, San Angelo and Toyah Tx.
Specific Responsibilities:
The Construction Lead will report to Company’s Construction Foreman and be assigned work locations as needed to support the company’s development and project activities.
This role will be primarily responsible for the following:
Oversee all facets of facility construction planning, supervision & execution.
Ensure all field activities have a Job Safety Analysis (JSA) completed prior to performing work in accordance with Company safe work practices. Be familiar with and ensure compliance with all Safe Work Practices (SWP) including but not limited to: Excavation & trenching, hot work, close proximity, LOTO, confined space, respiratory protection, H2S, fall protection.
Verify contractors are following their procedures for orienting short service employees and providing qualified personnel to perform construction activities.
Ensure all personnel on site are utilizing the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Assist Engineers and Construction Foreman with pre-construction evaluation of designs, pricing, schedules & bid walks to ensure IFC packages are adequate.
Communicate field activities and progress with safety, operations, construction supervisor, surface land, completions, and other affected groups to ensure all work is performed in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
Ensure safe offloading / lifting plans are in place for receiving equipment and materials
Review all deliveries to verify quantities, condition, and specifications match engineering specified requirements outlined on drawings or purchase orders
Review daily contractor tickets to verify the labor and materials provided are accurate
Complete a weekly report in Siteview for each project to document progress and the activities completed each week
Ensure approved work orders or change orders are in place and approved by the Company Construction Supervisor or Company Engineer prior to performing any work
Be familiar with applicable industry construction standards such as API, ASME, ANSI, NFPA, OSHA, NACE, etc.
Assist with incident investigations to help identify the root cause of safety issues and work with contractors to reduce the potential for future incidents. Assist with coordination of start-up, commissioning and handover of facilities
Be familiar with Company Facility Construction Standards and apply to projects
Ensure that safety hazard(s) and environmental impact(s) are minimized
Professional Qualifications & Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience: 10+ years of related construction / inspection / site supervisor experience required.
Must possess knowledge of surface equipment to diagnose problems and assist with startup / commissioning activities.
Familiar with all Supervisor’s Safety and Health Compliance and State Environmental Compliance Manuals
Must be proficient in computer skills including MS Excel, Word, Outlook, TEAMS Excellent communication and grammar skills in conversation and written materials
