Area Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Area Coordinator to join our client’s team in Oman. Location - Oman – BST North Project Contract duration - 1+1Years Job Purpose The Area Coordinator will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective operation of the B60 field, providing leadership across field operations, facility management, maintenance coordination, and production delivery. The role will oversee assigned teams, ensure operational excellence, manage performance and resources, and maintain strong compliance with HSE standards and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage multiple teams and field operations to achieve operational objectives and business targets. Ensure the highest standards of HSE, safety, emergency response, and operational compliance. Monitor and achieve operational KPIs, production targets, and business plan objectives. Manage OPEX and cost improvement initiatives, ensuring effective budget control. Lead field operations, facility management, maintenance coordination, and production delivery. Ensure operations teams are appropriately trained, competent, and prepared for emergency response. Oversee production plans, monitor deviations, and ensure stakeholder and customer satisfaction. Coordinate maintenance and operational support activities in line with policies and HSE requirements. Manage contractors, vendors, suppliers, and multiple project interfaces. Organize and chair site planning and coordination meetings and provide direction to contractors. Resolve operational and contractor-related issues and ensure effective coordination between disciplines. Prepare daily and weekly operational reports and provide timely management information. Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and cost reduction initiatives. Manage workforce planning, performance management, staff development, and team engagement. Ensure effective implementation of CMMS, OMS, and SMS systems and associated safety, environmental, and production targets. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline. 14+ years of relevant experience in oil & gas operations. Minimum 5 years in a senior management role, managing multiple teams. Proven experience in operational and field roles within the Oil & Gas industry, including supervisory responsibilities. Experience in resource control, contract management, and general management. Strong experience in surface facilities, field operations, production delivery, facility management, and maintenance. Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex operational issues. Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities. Knowledge of Oil & Gas field operations, production, facilities, drilling, and completion activities. Understanding of gas-producing assets, from subsurface operations through pipelines and processing. Knowledge of Reservoir, Drilling, Operations, and Geology. Experience with domestic and international supply contracts. Proficiency in MS Office and KPI development. Language Requirements Excellent written and spoken English is required. Arabic – Native language is desirable. Working Conditions: Field operations and office environment, with moderate to intensive computer use.
