KBR is seeking an Associate Technical Professional - Maintenance & Reliability Engineering to support Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Failure Analysis, and Reliability Engineering efforts for Naval Aviation and Weapons Systems programs. The selected candidate will analyze product and system failures, identify root causes, support corrective action development, and assist in maintaining reliability databases used to evaluate equipment performance, maintenance effectiveness, and operational readiness. This position supports reliability assessments of aircraft systems, aircraft gun systems, airborne weapons, crew-served weapons, launcher systems, and associated support equipment. The Associate Technical Professional will contribute to engineering analyses, reliability studies, technical documentation development, and maintenance optimization initiatives while working under the guidance of senior engineering personnel. This position is based in Orange Park, FL. Roles and Responsibilities Analyze equipment, component, and system failures to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions. Assist in preparing failure analysis reports, reliability assessments, technical recommendations, and engineering documentation. Collect, review, and evaluate maintenance and operational data from sources such as OOMA, DECKPLATE, NALCOMIS, maintenance records, and engineering databases. Maintain reliability tracking databases and support the development of historical success/failure trend information. Utilize statistical methods and reliability metrics to evaluate equipment performance and compliance with reliability requirements. Support Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) analyses, Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and maintenance optimization initiatives. Review technical manuals, maintenance procedures, engineering change proposals, waivers, deviations, and technical directives for compliance with program requirements. Participate in design reviews and engineering assessments to evaluate the impact of proposed changes on system reliability and maintainability. Assist in developing reliability sections of technical proposals, including manpower estimates, schedules, and supporting documentation. Support preparation of technical presentations, maintenance recommendations, and analytical reports for customer review. Coordinate with engineering, logistics, maintenance, quality assurance, and government stakeholders to support reliability improvement efforts. Research applicable Department of Defense (DoD), NAVAIR, and industry standards related to maintenance and reliability engineering. Assist senior engineers in evaluating maintenance concepts, preventive maintenance intervals, and reliability improvement opportunities. Support verification and validation of technical data, maintenance documentation, and reliability assessments for aircraft and weapons systems programs. Basic Qualifications Clearance: Active Secret Clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. Must be a US Citizen Education & Years of Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline and 0 to 2 years of engineering or reliability analysis experience. OR Relevant military aviation maintenance experience combined with technical training and 8 years of experience. Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of reliability engineering principles, failure analysis techniques, and maintenance processes. Familiarity with aviation maintenance practices, technical manuals, engineering documentation, and quality assurance processes. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Naval Aviation maintenance and ordnance programs. Experience with aircraft weapon systems, aircraft gun systems, crew-served weapons, launcher systems, and airborne rocket systems. Familiarity with OOMA, DECKPLATE, and NALCOMIS maintenance databases. Knowledge of Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodologies and NAVAIR 00-25-403 guidance. Experience performing root cause analysis, maintenance trend analysis, and technical data validation. Technical writing and editing experience involving maintenance manuals, engineering documents, or technical publications. Experience interpreting technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance procedures. Previous Quality Assurance Representative (QAR), Maintenance Control, or aviation maintenance leadership experience. Military aviation maintenance experience supporting F/A-18, H-60, aircraft armament systems, or related platforms.
