Job Duties Under general supervision, applies knowledge of electro-mechanical principles to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of LWD (Logging While Drilling) downhole drilling tools. Independently solves routine and some moderately complex problems using pre-established guidelines and plans and carries out moderately complex analytical processes. Executes diagnostic and analytical processes across multiple tool systems and components. Demonstrates proficiency in multiple processes and test procedures, including full tool assembly, disassembly, and functional testing. Assists in identifying and implementing improvements to processes, equipment, and procedures to drive reliability and efficiency. Promotes and demonstrates a strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence. Leads by example, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. May provide guidance or informal mentorship to less experienced technicians. May require travel based on business needs. Qualifications Skills are typically acquired through completion of an associate’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement (CI) principles is preferred. Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
