Substation automation Engineer
The convenience to stay at ADNOC onshore/offshore sites for a longer period of time aligns to SE's QHSE policies.
Lesser notice period ( preferably 2 months less).
3-6 years of experience in Energy/power/substation Automation and SE or GE solutions.
Required more than one of the following keywords:
IEC 61850, MODBUS, RSTP, PRP, EPAS, EPO, IED, Micom, OT Cybersecurity, IEC 62443, SCADA, Site Commissioning
Substation automation Engineer profile
Substation Automation & SCADA Engineer with 2–8 years of experience in Power Utility, Oil & Gas, and Data Center projects. The candidate should have strong expertise in SCADA, PLCs, substation automation systems, industrial communication protocols, and IEC 61850-based digital substations.
Key Expertise:
SCADA Platforms: Schneider Electric PACiS (EPAS), EcoStrucxure Power Operation (EPO), DS Agile ( GE)
Bay Control Units (BCU): Schneider C264 and similar devices
PLC Systems: Schneider M580, Siemens S7 PLC
Substation Automation Functions: Load Shedding, Load Sharing, Power Management Systems (PMS)
Communication Protocols: IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104, Modbus, OPC
Industrial Networks: PRP, HSR, RSTP, VLAN architectures
Network Equipment: Configuration and troubleshooting of ConneXium and Hirschmann switches
Field Devices: Energy Meters, IEDs, Protection Relays, RTUs
System Design, Engineering, Testing, Commissioning, and Troubleshooting of SAS/SCADA systems
Additional considerations.
OT Cyber Security: IEC/ISA 62443 standards and IACS concepts including Firewalls, IDS, Syslog Servers, Windows Domain Administration configuration
Oil & Gas Onshore and Offshore site service experience.
Ready to work at site (more than 50% of the year).
Feasibility for the frequent travel in Gulf and Europe for the site executions and validations.
