Job Purpose
Perform accounting duties related to ADNOC HQ fixed assets, including maintaining and reconciling fixed assets registers, preparing schedules and preparing relevant documentation and reports, in order to contribute to timely and accurate accounting of fixed assets.
Job Specific Accountabilities
• Contribute to the development and implement standardised guidelines, procedures and frameworks that drive uniform fixed asset accounting for ADNOC HQ.
• Maintain fixed assets registers relating to ADNOC HQ, as per ADNOC's policies and procedures, in order to administer additions, disposals and transfers of assets and to ensure that balance sheets are a true representation of facts.
• Document depreciations as per ADNOC’s policy on a monthly basis in order to initiate the execution of depreciation run and to effect transfer of depreciation to the General Ledger.
• Review system interface reports, to ensure data submitted by Group Companies is consistent and reasonable.
• Reconcile ADNOC HQ Fixed Asset registers with Group Company registers.
• Maintain detailed records of capital work in progress on a year-to-year basis, and provide related data to Directorates for Management information purposes.
• Review the acquisition, transfer, issue, write-off, etc. of assets, and ensure appropriate registers are maintained.
• Prepare annual schedules pertaining to fixed assets, in support of the balance sheet and profit and loss account, and submit for review.
• Prepare physical inventory procedures and participate in the physical inventory of fixed assets, including the reconciliation of the physical inventory with the asset registers.
• Prepare necessary schedules to the financial statements for financial reporting and internal and to fulfil external auditor requirements.
• Assist in the implementation of action plans, in order to address the improvements recommended by internal and external auditors.
• Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency, in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
• Prepare progress reports for Company Management.
• Perform other similar or related duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

• Implement approved Function/ Division/ Department/ Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.

• Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Function/ Division / Department/ Section in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
• Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
• Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Reports
• Provide inputs to prepare MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

• Controller, Assets Section

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
• 8 years of experience in Accounting and Finance
• Good knowledge of English and Arabic
