Job Title: Mechanical Planner Duration: 1 year Schedule: 5/40 (onsite) Location: Sabine Pass, TX This opportunity supports maintenance and reliability planning within an oil and gas or petrochemical environment, with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA, scheduling, and work execution. The role is centred on developing outage and project plans, coordinating work orders, and helping maintain efficient, compliant maintenance operations. This position offers involvement across packaged equipment, rotating machinery, and associated auxiliary systems in a technically demanding setting. Required Education: • Minimum High School Diploma or GED. Required Experience: • 5+ years of maintenance experience using SAP within oil and gas or petrochemical facilities. • Strong experience in planning, scheduling, and execution processes, procedures, and best practices. • Experience planning work for packaged equipment and rotating machinery, including steam turbines, gas turbines, compressors, generators, motors, and associated auxiliary systems. • Experience supporting maintenance and reliability programmes, including outage and project planning. • Experience with work estimation and planning across scaffolding, painting, insulating, rigging and lifting, welding, fabrication, machining, and heavy equipment operations. Required Skills: • Heavy working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA. • Ability to create and maintain project and outage plans using planning software. • Ability to develop job packs with relevant job plan information and ensure work order documentation is in place. • Strong coordination skills for working with operations, maintenance personnel, supervisors, engineering teams, and technicians. • Ability to produce weekly, monthly, quarterly, and look-ahead schedules. • Capability to identify material requirements and liaise with vendors or supply chain teams as needed. • Ability to assist with KPI development and produce reports on schedule compliance, including analysis of deviations, variations, and trends. • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills. • Ability to prioritise work effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, and attention to detail. • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of customer service, confidentiality, and ethical behaviour. • Self-starter with the ability to work strategically with limited direction. Required Certifications: • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing, or ability to maintain one (Required). • Current and valid state-issued driver's licence (Required). Preferred Qualifications: • Technical degree or similar. • Prometheus experience. • Scheduling software definition and build experience. • Experience with project planning software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6. • Experience working in a PHMSA regulated pipeline facility. • Experience with gas compression and metering equipment. #LI-AG3
