Job Family Group: Procurement & Supply Chain Management Group Job Description: Role Synopsis A senior procurement role accountable for shaping and delivering global sourcing strategy across indirect categories, driving enterprise value, influencing senior stakeholders, and strengthening procurement capability across the organisation. Define and lead Castrol’s enterprise-wide indirect sourcing strategy across global categories including digital, marketing and brand services, digital, professional services, logistics, workplace, HSSE, travel, contingent workforce, and MRO. Accountable for driving global value delivery, supplier strategy, and procurement transformation, while strengthening governance, enabling consistent sourcing approaches, and enhancing procurement capability across the organisation. Key Accountabilities The Sourcing Lead will implement end-to-end Sourcing and Contracting projects as per business request, but not limited to the following activities: Case Management Receive, implement and continuously handle a high volume of concurrent project requests via the Case Management tool, prioritising workload based on business criticality, value and risk. Sourcing Strategy Gather and analyse market intelligence across global supply markets to advise sourcing strategies that support Castrol operational requirements, cost competitiveness and supply continuity. Develop sourcing strategies aligned to Castrol operations, including manufacturing plants, and commercial facilities, while ensuring compliance with global category strategies and governance. Develop the sourcing strategy and handle the associated approval processes Supplier Prequalification Perform Suppliers’ screening/prequalification/due diligence and monitor/implement the process status as per the related guidelines Work with category manager to define appropriate sourcing strategy to meet business requirements. Lead and manage tendering process including supplier clarification, evaluation and selection, ensuring fair, visible and competitive outcomes. Build and implement detailed negotiation plan to deliver the best value. Liaise with cross functional teams for sourcing projects and events (RFI, RFP, Reverse Auctions) with suppliers operating in diverse local, regional and global markets. Directly handle supplier engagement throughout the sourcing and negotiation process, ensuring clarity of requirements and commercial intent. Develop and acquire approvals for required documentation as per Governance Framework in respective regions. Determine the appropriate contract template and develop the contract content based on the information contained in the Sourcing Strategy, sourcing event and/or detailed scope of work specifications Apply strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills to negotiate commercial and contractual terms with suppliers to optimise total cost of ownership, risk allocation and operational flexibility for Castrol, within legal and category guidance. Escalate any contract term exceptions per the deviation process, and handle the approval process Ensure contract is driven and signed by appropriate signing authorities. Contract Operationalization Operationalize contracts upon award in company tools and systems to enable effective execution, supplier performance monitoring and value realisation across Castrol sites. Essential Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in any subject area or related field Essential Experience and Job Requirements: The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of proven end‑to‑end sourcing and contracting experience, with the ability to operate independently on complex, high‑value and high‑risk sourcing cases across multiple partners. Experience in the lubricants industry will be an advantage. Good partner management skills handling Global Stakeholders Experience working in a large and multi-cultural team Good influencing and negotiation skills, as well as proven leadership behaviors Proficient in English (oral and written) language. Proficient in Hindi (oral and written) language is a MUST, to enable effective engagement with regional suppliers and partners.
