This will support the delivery of enhanced customer experience and drive innovation by building global capabilities, scale, using technology, and developing deep expertise. The BTC will be a core and connected part of our business, bringing together colleagues who report into their respective part of C&P, working together with other functions across bp. About the Role Position secures right transport services with contingent capacity and meeting HSSEQ and service standards and covering all transport requirements in primary, secondary and plant related goods flows. Key metrics include HSSEQ metrics (including carbon footprint) IFOT (logistics component) Plan adherence KPI’s Costs/Liter inbound/outbound OCC delivery Key Accountabilities Key responsible for directing all transportation activity, packed and bulk; in a safe and compliant mode and HSSEQ’s tag in transportation overall with all aspects relating to this Overall Contract Accountable Manager (CAM) responsibility for transportation, in co-operation with country logistics operations teams and key tag for non-product-related procurement (foremost but not limited to 4PL, LLP and ocean freight) Develops and maintains high standard solutions in transportation E2E-process, organization and system functionalities and drives continuous improvements through, using voice of customer and digital opportunities Is the managerial budget owner of all transportation cost and capex in EMETA and drives a zero-based budgeting approach each year to make sure we identify and reach opportunities Functions as the process owner on end-to-end transportation, including interfacing with warehousing and process dependent master data Follows up on market and sector trends by networking and following publications and informs the PU logistics teams proactively Follows tightly up on transportation performance regarding service to markets, capacity, plan adherence by carriers and costs On all Import and Export business, supports the O2C teams with support and guidance as well as updated solutions to keep lead times competitive at agreeable costs. Provides in coaching to CF teams whenever needed Helps CF Managers to build proficiency centres Supports Cost-to-Serve advisors / customer tender process with quotations and freight rate indications Collaborates closely with the Global Logistics Excellence Team representing the interest of the PU CAM responsibility, co-signature on transport service selection and contracts for EMETA HSSEQ responsible for transportation and delegation structure Provides sign-off on approved processes, systems/applications and changes thereon Manages and reports on transportation performance in the PU Shift Timings India: 12:30 pm - 9:30 pm (Oct-Mar) / 11:30 am - 8:30 pm (Apr-Sep) Education and Experience University degree in business economics, transportation economics, supply chain or similar 12 to 15 years experience in logistics and transportation in a multifaceted European environment Hands-on experience in contracting transport services and with European transport market Experienced in working closely with logistics operational teams Proven understanding of European transport market particularities and broad haulier contact network Very good comprehension of relevant HSSEQ related matters in transportation Strong analytical proficiency to handle transportation by the real numbers Phenomenal end-to-end process and system knowledge as well as digital solutions Ability to find opportunities/synergies and actionize with an E2E process approach Why join bp At bp, we support our people to learn and grow in a diverse and challenging environment.
