What role you will play on our team An Automation Technician is responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of instrumentation and automation systems for Oil and Gas operations. Automation Technician will have on call responsibilities and work in a team environment. What you will do Troubleshoot all field and Station Instrumentation Troubleshoot Control and Electrical systems. (RTUs, transmitters, control wiring) Troubleshoot control networks for Well Pads & Tank Battery. ( HART, ModBus, Ethernet I/P, Network Switches, Fiber optics, Cellular) Works Safely around instrumentation and electrical systems Work 5 days a week Monday thru Friday with times being on call (including weekends) About you Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities 5 years of experience as an IC&E Technician, Automation Technician or an associate’s degree in Instrumentation, Controls or Electrical Systems Basic understanding of the Process of Oil Field Delivery Systems from Well Pad to Tank Battery to Central Delivery PLC knowledge; including ladder logic (Modicon and Allen Bradley a plus) Experience with Rosemount 107 and 800 series RTU’s Experience with transmitters and Hart protocol a plus Knowledge of control valves and positioners Knowledge of control loops Solid Troubleshooting/Communication skills Job Requirements Ability to plan daily work activities in accordance with established Company and Regulatory procedures Ability to communicate (read, write, and speak) effectively Ability to operate hand tools or other equipment to accomplish assigned tasks Able to use Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Demonstrated ability to maintain a consistent safe work ethic Must be willing and able to attend/complete required training courses Must be willing and able to work in small team environments Must be willing and able to work in various locations, both indoors and outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures Must have safe driving skills Must possess a valid driver's license Your benefits An ExxonMobil career is one designed to last.
