Long Description About Company: Founded in 1971, ADNOC is a leading diversified energy group, wholly owned by the Abu Dhabi Government. Our network of fully integrated businesses operates across the energy value chain, helping us to responsibly meet the demands of an ever-changing energy market. Already in the top tier of the lowest carbon intensity oil and gas producers in the world, we are taking significant steps to make today’s energy cleaner while investing in the clean energies of tomorrow, strengthening our position as a reliable and responsible global energy provider. We are allocating an initial $23 billion to advance and accelerate lower-carbon solutions, investing in new energies and decarbonization technologies to enable our net zero by 2045 ambition and our commitment to zero methane emissions by 2030. Abou Role: Identify and define data collection parameters in conjunction with other disciplines to provide the basis of analysis, modelling, and field extensions. Design and plan complex studies to identify new prospects and their hydrocarbon systems, develop new play concepts, and create qualified models of the subsurface. Appraise models of the subsurface to ensure accuracy and technical integrity. Review and evaluate programs and plans to ensure technical integrity and cost-effectiveness, including drilling, logging, coring, and well testing programs for development and appraisal wells. Participate and review proposals for appraisal wells to assess reserves of prospective reservoirs and extensions of producing or developing reservoirs within assigned fields. Integrate all available local and regional geoscience and reservoir engineering data and carry out reservoir geo-modelling studies using the Petrel modelling tool. Geomodel to incorporate interpretation of structure, depositional environments and facies, diagenesis to produce a representative, reliable static model of the reservoir. • Generate subsurface geological models to aid reservoir description including size, shape, continuity and quality, development planning, reservoir production and well performance predictions. Design and complete uncertainty analyses and provide sensitivities for integration into the volumetric and reservoir simulation work. Interactively provide the reservoir engineering team with up-scaled reservoir grids (surfaces, faults, properties etc.) for integration into the dynamic simulation models. Assist the geological operations and drilling teams with well planning and execution support (using Petrel trajectory/tracking analysis) and evaluation of well results (Petrel and/or any modeling software). Support real time QC of drilling data including LWD and wireline data. Update the reservoir model frequently with the results of drilling activities to optimize well placement for all appraisal and development wells. Recommend drilling locations in collaboration with the team’s reservoir engineers. Qualification & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Sciences (Geology/Geophysics). 15 or more years of experience in all aspects of exploration geology, including play evaluation, prospect ranking, and maturation. Development geology including geological modelling, well designing, volumetric estimation, reservoir rock-typing methods, carbonate reservoir experience with a regional background. Demonstrated high end user skills of Petrel and/or Geomodelling software. Thorough understanding of all aspects of geology (structural, stratigraphic, sedimentology, geostatistics, etc.), geophysics, petrophysics, and reservoir simulation.
