🚨 Hiring Alert | Engineering Lead (Piping) | Qatar 📍 Location: Ras Laffan, Qatar 📄 Contract Type: Long-Term Contract 🌍 Work Location: Onshore 🔄 Rotation: 12 Weeks ON / 2 Weeks OFF (Single Status) 📠Work Schedule: 6 Days per Week ⏰ Working Hours: 8-10 Hours per Day About the Role We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead (Piping) to provide technical leadership and discipline support for piping and layout engineering activities associated with the South Trains 4 & 6 Restoration Project . The role involves supporting assessment, demolition, restoration, FEED, EPC, construction, commissioning, and startup phases while ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and project objectives. Key Responsibilities ✅ Lead the piping engineering discipline and provide high-quality technical support to project teams. ✅ Review, assess, and approve engineering concepts, studies, and detailed designs to ensure technical suitability and compliance with applicable standards. ✅ Approve engineering deliverables related to isolation, demolition, and restoration works. ✅ Provide technical guidance throughout all project phases including Concept, FEED, EPC, Construction, Commissioning, and Startup. ✅ Support discipline capability development, knowledge transfer, and continuous professional development initiatives. ✅ Coordinate and manage piping and layout engineering resources to ensure timely project delivery. ✅ Evaluate and endorse technical deviations, waivers, and variations within delegated authority limits. ✅ Maintain effective relationships with contractors, operations teams, and project stakeholders. Qualifications & Experience 🎓 Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. ✔ Minimum 8 years of Engineering experience . ✔ Minimum 4 years of Oil & Gas industry experience . ✔ Experience in a supervisory, lead, or contractor oversight role. ✔ FEED and EPC detailed design experience. ✔ Knowledge of piping and layout engineering, design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, and onshore facilities. ✔ Basic knowledge of 3D Modeling Software (PDS/SP3D). ✔ Strong understanding of international engineering standards and best practices. Technical & Business Skills ✔ Excellent written and spoken English. ✔ Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. ✔ Advanced computer literacy and proficiency in engineering and office applications. ✔ Knowledge of Document Control and Information Management Processes.
