NES Fircroft are currently supporting our EPC client who are seeking a Decommissioning Package Engineer to join their Perth CBD office on a 6 month contract. Step into a pivotal role as a Decommissioning Package Engineer, where you will lead the end-to-end coordination of decommissioned assets including flexibles, umbilicals, and rigids. This role focuses on managing interfaces between subcontractors and internal teams to ensure the seamless movement, recycling, disposal, certification, and reporting of assets in line with strict safety and compliance standards. Your engineering judgment and coordination expertise will directly impact the continuous and efficient execution of decommissioning projects across Western Australia. Required Skills: Proven ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and manage cross-functional interfaces. Strong operational troubleshooting skills to resolve technical and process-related issues promptly. Proficiency in driving action closure using structured meetings, trackers, and follow-ups. Solid knowledge of asset recovery, recycling, disposal, and certification processes. Effective communication and reporting skills to provide timely updates, manage risks, and support decision-making. Nice to Have Skills: Experience with Excel-based trackers, dashboards, and document management systems; Power BI skills an advantage. Background in marine, offshore, energy, or heavy industry projects. Familiarity with environmental records, material traceability, and audit-ready project close-out documentation. Understanding of logistics coordination including packaging, lifting readiness, storage, and transport of materials. Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or recognized technical qualification in engineering or related discipline preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering, project/package delivery, decommissioning, operations, materials, logistics, or waste/recycling coordination within industrial project environments. Demonstrated success managing subcontractor commitments and cross-functional stakeholder coordination. Other Requirements: Ability to undertake occasional site visits within Western Australia. Strong commitment to maintaining accurate, complete, and traceable project records suitable for client review and audits. Applicants must have Australian working rights to be considered.
