Your first role will be determined by which team you apply to: - Trader Development Program (TDP) – Our Trader Development Program (TDP) is a fast paced, competitive program that will enable you to develop the competencies and skills required to become a successful energy trader at ExxonMobil. You will complete multiple trading role rotations to gain crucial experience in operations, risk and analytics. Throughout your time on the TDP you will receive formal training as well as mentoring and feedback from Senior Traders to further your development. All of this will lead to a formal end of Program assessment. If successful, you will be ready to commence your career as a trader enjoying roles with increasing complexity, responsibility and market exposure. Trading Analytics, Data and AI – The Trading Analytics teams combine deep market analysis with advanced data, technology, and AI capabilities to enhance decision-making across our energy trading and commercial businesses. Working closely with trading desks and commercial origination teams, you will leverage proprietary and third-party data to uncover actionable insights, identify opportunities across physical and derivative markets, and develop data-driven market views that support commercial decisions. You will gain hands-on experience in software development, data science and visualization, solve complex big data challenges, and rapidly prototype innovative solutions. By staying ahead of market developments, assessing their impact on market fundamentals and sentiment, and applying the latest AI technologies to real-world trading challenges, you will help translate complex information into clear, commercially relevant insights that drive strategy and performance across the business. About you To be eligible for this role, you must: Have at least a 2:1 degree in any subject Be graduating in 2027 or have graduated in the last 3 years (2026-2024). Be able to demonstrate: A strong attention to detail Analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills An interest in physical commodities and financial markets The ability to communicate, collaborate and work effectively with an international team environment Leadership capabilities Relevant work experience would be advantageous but is not essential .
