Project Engineer - Civil Tailing | Gladstone | 12 month contract with strong extension potential We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to lead the planning and execution of annual wall raise programs for major civil tailing and residue management earthworks. Based in Gladstone, this 12-month contract role offers the chance to drive critical infrastructure projects supporting large-scale alumina refinery operations. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, manage project schedules and budgets, and ensure strong safety, quality, and compliance standards are met throughout all phases of construction. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, with a minimum of 8 years’ experience delivering complex civil, mining, or heavy industrial earthworks projects. Proven expertise in project controls, construction management, cost forecasting, and risk mitigation is essential. Strong leadership skills and effective stakeholder engagement, combined with experience in self-perform or owner-operated delivery models. A current driver’s license and readiness to work Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends, are required.
