The Technical Assistant supports the Wells organization through administrative and logistical coordination, Operational Excellence support, and management of technical systems, records, and data. The role connects office and field teams to improve compliance, data quality, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to
Provide administrative support by gathering information, tracking requests and deadlines, coordinating meetings, and following up on action items.
Manage office supplies, vendors, equipment maintenance, and vacation and training records for Wells employees and consultants.
Coordinate travel, lodging, transportation, visitor support, and onboarding logistics for office, field, and rotational personnel.
Maintain well-permit documentation, follow up with government authorities, manage the LABU Wells SharePoint site, and support G&A cost tracking.
Coordinate ergonomic evaluations, serve as Floor Warden, and support office emergency preparedness.
Support Wells Operational Excellence requirements, KPIs, and recurring safety and performance meetings; serve as a Human and Organizational Performance champion.
Own and maintain WellView, create initial well reports, perform quality checks, and identify data-quality concerns in Power BI and other Wells systems.
Support engineers with regulatory submissions, data gathering, analysis, benchmarking, and maintenance of Wells databases.
Facilitate the Base Business Rig Work Schedule, Root Cause Analysis and work-team sessions, and Wells Agile activities.
Manage the Wells training schedule, monitor mandatory training, and coordinate Well Control training.
Support standardization and digitalization initiatives that simplify work and improve employee experience.
Provide onboarding, work direction, and informal training to less experienced personnel in areas of expertise.
Required Qualifications
Relevant administrative, technical, operations, or data-management experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint.
Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities, records, and deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to collaborate across office, field, technical, and leadership teams and coordinate travel and logistics.
Preferred Qualifications
2 years of related experience.
Post-secondary education in business administration, technical support, information systems, engineering support, or a related field.
Experience supporting drilling, completions, oil and gas, or other field-based operations.
