About the Role: The role is responsible for ensuring employees, contractors, and visitors work in a safe, secure, and environmentally responsible manner while ensuring compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, client expectations, and project-specific HSSE requirements. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving HSSE excellence, promoting a proactive safety culture, and providing subject matter expertise in Permit-to-Work (PTW), Rigging & Lifting, and Scaffolding activities. Responsibilities: Participate in accident and incident investigations related to: Permit-to-Work (PTW), Rigging & Lifting, Scaffolding Analyse accident and incident statistics, identify trends, and recommend improvement initiatives. Provide technical HSSE support and advice to management on safety-related matters. Conduct internal safety training programmes related to: Permit-to-Work (PTW), Rigging & Lifting, Scaffolding Perform HSSE audits and inspections on subcontractors, particularly for high-risk activities. Participate in Hazard Identification (HAZID) workshops prior to construction and installation activities. Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate mitigation measures. Prepare Health, Safety, Security and Environmental documentation for tender submissions and project execution. Provide HSSE support during project start-up phases, including the development and implementation of site procedures, plans, and safe work practices. Education Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline. Additional professional qualifications in HSSE and Fire & Safety Management Systems. Relevant certifications in: Permit-to-Work (PTW), Rigging & Lifting, Scaffolding Experience Required Minimum 5 years of experience in Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) and Fire Services within the Oil & Gas industry. Experience supporting Offshore Hook-Up & Commissioning (HUC) activities. Previous experience in construction site HSSE leadership roles. Strong knowledge of: Health, Safety & Environmental Management Systems Environmental Discharge Management Incident Command Systems Incident Investigation techniques (including Tripod Beta methodology) HSE Auditing Techniques Hazard & Effects Management Process (HEMP) Radiological Safety Familiarity with: Industrial Hygiene Gas Dispersion Modelling Explosion Indices ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems
