Position Summary
The Director, Corporate Accounting is responsible for leading the company’s corporate accounting, consolidation, reporting, and related finance operations. This role ensures the integrity, governance, and accuracy of consolidated financial statements while partnering closely with the Chief Accounting Officer and technical accounting teams on complex accounting matters, non-routine transactions, and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead corporate accounting, fixed asset and inventory accounting, consolidations, intercompany accounting, and non-routine transaction teams.
Ensure the integrity, governance, and accuracy of consolidated financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
Partner with technical accounting on complex accounting matters, significant transactions, and accounting policy considerations.
Drive process improvement initiatives across the close, consolidation, and reporting processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, controls, and reporting quality.
Lead shared services and low-cost country initiatives for the finance function, supporting operational efficiency and standardization.
Deliver detailed variance analysis of period-over-period fluctuations in financial statements and translate results into clear, executive-level insights.
Develop executive-level reporting, dashboards, and analysis to support leadership decision-making.
Develop, lead, and coach a high-performing team of accounting and finance professionals while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief Accounting Officer on accounting operations, reporting matters, organizational priorities, and strategic finance initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA strongly preferred.
Progressive accounting leadership experience, including experience overseeing corporate accounting, consolidations, financial reporting, and close processes.
Strong technical accounting knowledge and ability to partner effectively on complex accounting matters and non-routine transactions.
Demonstrated success leading process improvement, shared services, automation, or finance transformation initiatives.
Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills.
Strong business judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to financial accuracy, governance, and operational excellence.
Reporting Relationship
This position reports directly to the Chief Accounting Officer and serves as a key member of the finance and accounting leadership team.
