Job Summary The Technical Specialist supports the administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of enterprise physical security technology systems. This role provides day-to-day technical and operational support for access control, video management, identity management, badging, and related security platforms across multiple company locations. The successful candidate will work closely with Security, IT, Facilities, vendors, contractors, and site stakeholders to support system operations, resolve issues, maintain accurate security data, assist with project execution, and promote compliance with company security standards and processes. This position requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced enterprise security technology environment. Position Overview Your responsibilities may include: Support daily administration of enterprise security technology platforms, including Genetec Security Center, ClearID, Volt AI, access control systems, video management systems, badging systems, and related applications. Assist with cardholder, identity, credential, access rule, door, area, schedule, and permission updates. Utilize the Genetec ClearID REST API to automate cardholder data creation, enrichment, updates, and lifecycle management processes, enabling streamlined identity administration and enhanced service delivery to customers. Troubleshoot access control issues, including failed badge reads, inactive credentials, access rule conflicts, door configuration issues, and synchronization problems. Review and validate system data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with company security standards. Support identity lifecycle activities for employees, contractors, and visitors, including badge access, expiration dates, account status, and access remediation. Assist with access reviews, supervisor verification processes, and cleanup of outdated or inaccurate access assignments. Support video system operations, including camera troubleshooting, recording issues, video access, coverage validation, and coordination of repairs. Maintain and update security technology records, including doors, cameras, panels, controllers, card readers, credentials, and other system assets. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, IT, Facilities, and site Security teams to support hardware repairs, replacements, installations, and system upgrades. Assist with security technology projects, migrations, deployments, testing, commissioning, and post-implementation support. Prepare reports, spreadsheets, summaries, and data extracts related to access activity, system issues, hardware inventories, project status, and compliance reviews. Document troubleshooting steps, findings, resolutions, and system changes in accordance with team standards. Support audit requests, evidence collection, data validation, and remediation tracking related to security technology systems. Provide clear, timely, and professional communication to users, supervisors, stakeholders, and management regarding system issues, access concerns, and required actions. Identify opportunities to improve security technology processes, system configuration, data quality, and operational efficiency.
