Fuel your passion As a Development Engineer for Real-time Drilling Engineering Services, you are responsible for the development of advanced real-time engineering services, e.g. to ensure sufficient hole cleaning when optimizing rate of penetration, to optimize tripping speed or to identify wellbore hydraulics related events as part of our digital well planning and drilling automation software suite. Within our drilling automation development team, you will work closely together with peers from research projects, project leadership, the software development organization, product management, technical support and service delivery teams, as well as external partners such as customers and consulting service providers. As a Development Engineer for Real-time Drilling Engineering Services, you will be responsible for: Development of wellbore hydraulics models and software for real-time drilling engineering. Verification and validation of software with international internal and external users. Transition of technologies from research into product development. Identification of end-user needs. Assistance for project leader with project planning, effort and budget estimations. Support of end-users around the globe during prototype testing and field introduction. To be successful in this role you need: Above average Master’s degree or even PhD in a relevant engineering discipline and ideally experience in drilling applications engineering. Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics and related drilling engineering domains. Experience in technology research & development. Demonstrated expertise in numerical simulations. Ideally experience in systems engineering, agile software development processes and in managing a software development team. Excellent communication skills and strong interest in working in a diverse environment. Fluency in English and good presentation and writing skills.
