What role you will play in our team As an Engineering Student, you'll work alongside multidisciplinary teams that may include engineering, operations, maintenance, technical specialists, and geoscience professionals to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations. You'll have the opportunity to apply your technical knowledge to real-world challenges while gaining valuable exposure to production, facilities, integrity, controls, machinery, electrical, instrumentation, and reliability engineering. The student roles offer a combination of field and/or office-based experience, mentorship from industry experts, and opportunities to contribute to projects that have a direct impact on operational performance and business results. What will you do As an Engineering Student, you may have the opportunity to: Support engineering projects focused on process optimization, production performance, equipment reliability, facility operations, asset integrity, control systems, electrical systems, and instrumentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and develop practical engineering solutions. Analyze operational, production, maintenance, reliability, and inspection data to identify trends and support decision-making. Participate in equipment performance monitoring, troubleshooting activities, and root cause failure investigations. Assist in the development of inspection, maintenance, integrity, and reliability programs for facilities, pipelines, process equipment, and rotating machinery. Prepare engineering assessments, technical evaluations, and engineering designs that support safe and reliable operations. Support operational improvement initiatives, equipment enhancement projects, and long-term asset management strategies. Contribute to forecasting, performance reviews, technical studies, and optimization activities. Develop technical reports, presentations, recommendations, and project documentation. Work closely with operations, maintenance, contractors, vendors, and technical subject matter experts to support day-to-day operations and projects. Participate in training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities while building field-based engineering experience. About You Skills and Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution. University student available for a work term beginning in January or May 2027 Currently enrolled in a University program and returning to full-time studies after the work term Valid Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent) with a safe driving record. Comfortable working in industrial and rural environments, including driving on gravel and winter roads when required. To be considered for employment, your most recent unofficial transcript(s) must be submitted with your application Preferred Qualifications Previous internship, co-op, or industry experience is considered an asset but is not required. Experience with data analysis, programming, or technical software tools (e.g., Python, VBA, or engineering applications) is considered an asset. Knowledge or interest in process, production, facilities, integrity, machinery, electrical, instrumentation, controls, reliability, or operations engineering. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. Strong collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement mindset.
