Our Manufacturing Technology team plays a critical role in developing, industrializing, and scaling innovative production processes that support next-generation products and enable long-term business growth. Partner with the best As a Lead Manufacturing Engineer – Composite Manufacturing & Technology Transfer, you will be responsible for establishing a sustainable, scalable, and highly automated piezo composite manufacturing capability. You will lead the development and industrialization of critical manufacturing processes, implement future-ready production technologies, and drive the transfer of key process capabilities from external suppliers into in-house operations. You will serve as the technical owner of end-to-end manufacturing processes, acting as the primary interface between Waygate Technologies and external manufacturing partners while developing and executing a roadmap for future technology insourcing. Through your leadership, you will help retain and expand critical manufacturing know-how and transform it into a competitive internal manufacturing capability. As a Lead Manufacturing Engineer – Composite Manufacturing & Technology Transfer, you will also be responsible for: • Define manufacturing strategies, process flows, equipment requirements, facility needs, and operational infrastructure to support future production demands. • Serve as the technical authority for piezo ceramic, piezo composite, and related precision manufacturing processes. • Lead the development, optimization, and industrialization of manufacturing processes focused on scalability, automation, quality, and reduced labor dependency. • Drive technology transfer initiatives and establish a roadmap for transitioning strategically important manufacturing processes from external suppliers to in-house production. • Act as the primary technical interface between Waygate Technologies and external manufacturing partners, ensuring alignment on process capability, quality, performance, and continuous improvement. • Lead equipment selection, specification development, procurement support, installation, commissioning, qualification, validation, and production ramp-up activities. • Establish robust process controls, manufacturing standards, work instructions, training programs, quality plans, and manufacturing documentation. • Support manufacturing readiness through process capability development, validation activities, and operational excellence initiatives. • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and external suppliers to ensure successful project execution and business objectives. • Drive continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making, root cause analysis, process optimization, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions. • Champion manufacturing innovation by evaluating emerging technologies, automation opportunities, robotics solutions, and Smart Factory initiatives. • Build and sustain critical manufacturing expertise within Waygate Technologies while creating a technology platform that supports future product growth and innovation. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role, you will: • Have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical discipline. • Have extensive experience in piezo ceramics, piezo composites, semiconductor manufacturing, MEMS, precision manufacturing, or comparable advanced manufacturing environments. • Have demonstrated experience in manufacturing process development, industrialization, and production scale-up. • Have strong knowledge of precision dicing, grinding, thin-film technologies, sputtering, plasma processing, metrology, and manufacturing process control methodologies. • Have experience leading equipment qualification, process validation, commissioning, and continuous manufacturing improvement initiatives. • Have expertise in structured problem-solving methodologies such as Six Sigma, DOE, SPC, Shainin, Root Cause Analysis, and statistical process improvement techniques. • Have proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders across Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and external suppliers. • Have strong communication, technical leadership, and project execution skills. • Preferred to have direct experience with ultrasonic transducer manufact
