Construction Supervisor (Mechanical) Location: Mesaieed, Qatar Sector: Oil & Gas (Midstream / Downstream) Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor (Mechanical) to support the construction, installation, inspection, testing, and pre-commissioning phases of a major Oil & Gas project. Requirements: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory) Formal QA/QC functional training Minimum 10 years' experience in Oil & Gas construction projects Proven experience in Static and Rotating Equipment Installation Experience coordinating inspections during Midstream and/or Downstream facility construction of Oil and Gas Mandatory experience as an EPIC Contractor Supervisor Experience as a Client or PMC Supervisor preferred Strong knowledge of international standards and specifications including ASME, ANSI, API, ISO, NFPA, Shell DEP and related industry codes Experience with FAT, equipment alignment, inspection activities, pressure testing, punch list management, mechanical completion and pre-commissioning Extensive knowledge of coating systems including painting, galvanizing, wrapping, insulation and related preservation requirements Experience working in Greenfield and Brownfield environments Strong understanding of PTW, LOTO, tie-ins to live facilities, construction testing and commissioning interfaces Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, mechanical drawings and manufacturer documentation. Key Responsibilities: Supervise static and rotating equipment installation activities Coordinate inspections, RFIs and testing activities Monitor contractor compliance with approved procedures, specifications and project requirements Support mechanical completion, punch close-out and pre-commissioning activities Interface with QA/QC, HSE, vendors and project stakeholders to ensure safe and quality execution of work.
