Job Title: HSE Engineer KBR is growing its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for an exciting, high profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The ADNOC PMC project role would be based initially in Client or Contractors Office in Abu Dhabi. Job Purpose The HSE Engineer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs across ADNOC Offshore project activities. The role ensures compliance with ADNOC HSE standards, UAE regulations, project specifications, and international best practices to achieve a safe and incident-free workplace. Key Responsibilities HSE Management & Compliance Ensure compliance with ADNOC Offshore HSE requirements, project specifications, and applicable UAE regulations. Support the implementation of project HSE Management Systems and procedures. Monitor contractor compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and permit-to-work systems. Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and compliance assessments. Risk Assessment & Hazard Management Participate in Hazard Identification (HAZID), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Task Risk Assessment (TRA), and Risk Assessment workshops. Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions. Monitor implementation and effectiveness of control measures. Incident Investigation Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and environmental events. Prepare detailed investigation reports and ensure implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Track and close out HSE action items. Site Safety Monitoring Conduct daily site inspections and behavioral safety observations. Monitor critical activities including: Lifting operations Working at height Confined space entry Hot work Excavation activities Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS) Marine and offshore operations Ensure compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) requirements. Training & Awareness Deliver HSE inductions and toolbox talks. Conduct HSE awareness campaigns and safety training programs. Promote a strong safety culture and workforce engagement. Environmental Management Monitor environmental compliance and waste management activities. Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and wastes. Support environmental monitoring and sustainability initiatives. Reporting & Documentation Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports. Maintain HSE records, statistics, inspection reports, and training documentation. Report project HSE KPIs to management. Emergency Preparedness Support emergency response planning and drills. Ensure emergency equipment and response arrangements are maintained and effective. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related discipline. Professional Certifications (Preferred) NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) NEBOSH International Diploma (Preferred) IOSH Managing Safely ISO 45001 Internal/Lead Auditor First Aid & Fire Warden Certification (Advantage) Experience Minimum 5-8 years of HSE experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, Offshore Construction, or Offshore Operations. Minimum 3 years of ADNOC project experience preferred. Experience in offshore platforms, pipeline projects, brownfield or greenfield developments is desirable. Knowledge of ADNOC Codes of Practice and HSE Management Systems.
