Position: Advisor Drilling Fluids Location: El Merk, Algeria Contract Type: Rotation 28/28 Duration : 12 month Renewable contract Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Advisor Drilling Fluids to support onshore drilling and cementing activities within a challenging operational environment.The Field based Advisor Drilling Fluids serves as the primary technical and operational link between the office-based management and field operations. You will be responsible for the real-time supervision of all drilling fluids (WBM/OBM) and cementing services across multiple rig sites and the Liquid Mud Plant (LMP). Your mission is to ensure cost-efficiency, technical integrity, and strict adherence to environmental regulations in Algeria. Key Responsibilities : Manage drilling fluids systems Supervise cementing programmes Monitor contractor performance Optimise solids control Lead HSE compliance initiatives Conduct technical audits and inspections Required Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry. 10+ years in Drilling Fluids/Cementing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory field role. Proven experience of mentoring and coaching colleagues Strong Contract Oversight skills Experience with Algerian lithology (e.g., salt sections, Hassi Messaoud Quartzite) or analogous basins. Mastery of API RP 13B testing procedures and cementing hydraulics modeling. Professional fluency in English, French is advantageous; Arabic language skills would be a major asset for field coordination.
